Nadia Raïs was born in Tunis in 1967. She has a master’s degree in Art Science and Techniques specialized in Graphic Design. She worked for 2 years on a feature length animated movie as an animator and an illustrator. Then she worked for several years in advertising, on campaigns and animated movies. She was a founding member of the Tunisian Association for Animated Movies. Today, she makes paintings, is involved in several exhibitions, and is making her first animated short film, "L'Ambouba". The trailer of "L'Ambouba" won the "Jasmin d'Or" (the top prize for the trailers' competition) in the Djerba TV Festival in 2006.
