A man recounts the pivotal emotional events in his life in 1968. The death of his father & the 1st meeting with his future wife are discussed over abstracted images of light and motion shot the same year by astronauts circling the moon.
David Baumflek is a visual artist working in Montreal and New York. His recent work explores the oblique relationship between our vision of the universe and our everyday lives. Baumflek has exhibited his installations and sculptures nationally and internationally, including venues such as Art in General, Exit Art, Sculpture Center and August Art. His video works have been screened in Anthology Film Archive, VideoEx festival and the Australian Experimental Film Festival. Baumflek received an MFA in sculpture from Pratt Institute and was a recent participant in the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program.
