Niloo Tehranchi - 2006, 2 min, Video, USA

I am a hybrid of the East and West: Iran and the US. I made the collages in this video as a metaphor for the emotional duality that is part of being from mixed cultures. Hybrids is made of fragments from The New York Times. It is evolving into a longer piece.

Niloo Tehranchi received her BFA from Parsons School of Design in New York, and her MFA, in New Genres, at San Francisco Art Institute. She works and lives in San Francisco.
