Flight Home

Tadashi Moriyama - 2006, 10:20 min, DV, Brooklyn, NY

“Flight Home” takes you nowhere yet somewhere in the universe surrounded by the distant stars and a computer screen nearby.

It is an attempt to analyze the location and dislocation in the search for home. It is the experience of moving thousands of miles an hour while sitting still on an airplane seat, but also the experience of net-surfing while computer users experience a billion bits per hour while going nowhere.

Tadashi Moriyama, Japanese born 1979, He went to Tyler school of Art for his undergraduate and University of Pennsylvania, and received Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Time-based interactive Media Certificate in 2006. Tadashi works and resides in Williamsburg Brooklyn NY. (Website: http://tadashimoriyama.com)
