Sissy Boy Slap Party

Guy Maddin – 4:05 min, Canada

A micro-montage of mime with music and sound effects of seven slap-happy suntanning sailors.

The "Canadian David Lynch," Winnipeg-born filmmaker Guy Maddin's surreal, dreamlike works are often cited for their striking visuals and obscure sensibilities. Although he has only made six features and a number of shorts, he is critically acclaimed worldwide, and in 1995 was honored as the youngest ever recipient of the Telluride Film Festival's Lifetime Achievement award.

Artists' Television Access is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all-volunteer, artist-run, experimental media arts gallery that has been in operation since 1984. ATA hosts a series of film and video screenings, exhibitions and performances by emerging and established artists and a weekly cable access television program.
