Staring Newscasters utilizes extensive use of matte technology to re-direct the actions displayed by local news reporters. The hour-long broadcast has been transformed into a one and a half minute drama about the boredom of the local news, and the desire of the newscasters to be elsewhere. 

Jesse England was born in Springfield, Oregon in 1982, and lives and works in Eugene, Oregon. He received a BS in Multimedia Design from the University of Oregon in 2005. His video work is usually documentary or experimental, but the manipulation and nature of moving images is a constant theme.
