Stephen Slappe was born in Charleston, West Virginia in 1973. He is a multi-disciplinary artist living in Portland, Oregon. Stephen examines the psychological influence of technology and popular culture using video, installation, drawing, printmaking and comics. Humor, discomfort and absurdity can be found in his work regardless of the medium.
